Do we need copyright licensing for our concert to be recorded?
Yes. Or rather, most likely. Most music that is performed on an educational level is owned by a publishing company due to the fact that it is an arrangement.

How do we apply for copyright licensing?
We do it for you. Technically, since our company takes care of sales, we are responsible for acquiring a mechanical license to reproduce copies of the performance for resale. This is a well involved process and the publishing companies can be elusive at times, but we are more than happy to help alleviate those concerns from your workload.

How long does it take to get our CDs or DVDs?
4 to 8 weeks. Because of the afore-mentioned difficulties with copyright licensing, we are not permitted to send out the discs until all of the titles on the discs have been licensed for the number of copies produced by our company. Sometimes each of the titles can be from different individual publishing companies.

Must we pay sales tax?
Yes. Widget Studios is required to charge sales tax to all residents in the state of Pennsylvania. If you live in another state, you should not be charged.

What carrier will be delivering our items?
Up to this point, we have used the US Postal Service, and have a good relationship with our local Post Office. This is off course subject to change as the needs of our business and the demands of each project continue to change.

Will we receive a tracking number for our package?
No. This may be changing. Up to this point, we have shipped using the most cost effective method which does not provide us with tracking information or delivery confirmation. However with our company continuing to ship more of our merchandise, we plan to move into a more elaborate method of shipping which will provide more protection, and this will cost more for everyone in the long run.
