SET UP STUDIO

    • Start by micing anything that will not be connected to the PA (ie - drums, amps, etc…)

    • Typically, we will only put 1 mic per instrument/vocal.

    • Best to DI the Bass before the input to the amp.

    • If you begin prior to the arrival of the client, set the mics up with stands and cables in Studio A until the band is there.

    • Plug Microphone Cables into wall-mounted HELIX snake box Channels 1-16

    • Identify which channels need to be connected to the PA

    • Locate the appropriate snake ends (hanging on the left side of the PA mixer) and connect to PA per the client’s direction

    • Level should be between 9 o’clock and 12 o’clock.

      • If the meters glow Red, the level is too high.

    • L.F. Frequency - 250Hz

    • Level ~5

    • H.F. Frequency - 4kHz

    • Level ~5

    • Turn Mix Knob to “Wet” (all the way to the left)

    • If there are clips, reduce level until there are no clips.
